The Jörmungandr-Pattern Armored Fighting Vehicle is a monstruous, and some would say maniacal, feat of engineering from the Tech-Priests of Skara Prime. Designed during the War of Reclamation, the Jormungardr got its lengthy name from armored battalions circumventing the surface of the planet in their effort to uproot the Xenos rot that had crept across the planet.
A general purpose fighting vehicle equipped with anti-tank weaponry equally good at destroying vehicles and the hostile fauna of Skara Prime, the Jörmungandr saw constant action during the effort to retake the planet. Equally suited for carrying troops, crossing hazardous terrain, and urban warfare, it became a main stay of the Imperial Regiments.
Eventually, once Skara and its inhabitants were wrapped into the fold of the Imperium, the Jormungadr was decommissioned from guard regiments. It however found new life in Space Marine Chapters undersupplied following the conflict, where Forge Worlds had yet been able to reinforce them with more commonly used vehicles.
Model measures 190mm x 115mm x ~95mm. (Varying height depending on turret configuration). Scale is slightly longer ~10mm than the GW model.
