Building Whirlworld #005 - The Burning Wax Monster
As with all wax, even Wax Monsters aren't immune to burning out. In fact, many Kobolds find their only line of defense against these monsters is to set them on fire and run away. If a Kobold is caught alone with a single torch it can take hours of running away until the monster can no longer chase after them. Wax Monsters aren't the fastest but can easily make entire tunnels impossible to traverse with the leftover wax from their trail. One wrong turn for the running kobold can lead them to a deadend with only the thought of their slow but inevitable, and incredibly painful, demise.
