Originally designed to fulfill a specification for an ultralight tracked gun carrier to assist troops in difficult terrain, issues with the specialized gun mountings and advances in remote and automated systems led to rapid development of the Jotun platform for other uses. As a result, there are three general types of Jotun in active service.
The ROC.04 Powered Weapons Carrier is the original designation, although now the least common. Its purpose is to carry a variety of specialized weapons through very difficult terrain, the most common being a heavy continuous pulse laser designed to overwhelm armor with successive hits to the same target area. Other weapons carried include assault mortars, heavy hail gyrocs, and rapid pulse lasers. One uncommon weapon of note is the Gravity Projector - a modification of the Gravity Engines seen on heavy Krevarian walkers and landships. Although it requires highly skilled operators, the GP can deflect incoming fire within its own fire arc, and create crushing forces at range.
The addition of self-assisted navigation through advanced logic engines to the Jotun chassis midway through its service life allowed operators to work at a greater distance from the gun carrier, but the units still suffered from limited fire arcs and resupply issues for their specialized armaments. The A-series modifications added a small turret to a widened chassis and replaced the weapons with more common and easily-supplied versions such as laser cannons, gyrocs, and autocannon. The result was a capable platform that could carry a squad’s heavy weapon through rough ground more easily than the towed version. Although expensive, A-series Jotun are assigned when both a carriage and tow vehicle are impractical.
Fielded simultaneously with the A-series, the ROC.04B Jotun forgoes conventional weapons entirely to act as a guided explosive device for breaching fortifications. The relatively inexpensive platform has also been refit (sans explosives) as a light cargo carrier by some units, who often treat these mechanical mules as a member of the squad.
The weapons and some hull parts have magnet holes in case you want to swap weapons after assembly. You’ll need 3mm (⅛”) x 1mm rare earth magnets if you choose to take advantage of them.
I do test-print all my presupports and make an effort for them to be as useful as possible, but I cannot guarantee that they’ll work with every printer/resin/location/weather combination.

This set of files contains everything you need to print the Jotun Remote Demolition Vehicle and its most common variants.
The kit contains three hull variants - a bomb carrier, heavy weapons platform, and turreted gun chassis.
A variety of weapon options are included, and parts from other kits are also compatible with this vehicle (the turret uses the same slot as the smallest turret and cupolas from other tank kits, for instance).
This kit is presupported, but also includes unsupported STLs for those who want to print in FDM or would prefer to handle their own supports.
