The Flamespitter cannon is fueled by the fluids from a Flamespitter Salamander Tadpole. These are Salamander hatchlings which have not developed their limbs yet. As such they are easier to handle and can be coaxed into spewing their flamable fluid into the container by triggering them into a hunting response. Dangling prey infront of it triggers it and they spit at it instinctivly.
