Called the F4F Wildcat in the US, the Martlet was in service with the British Fleet Air Arm before it was ever purchased by the US Navy. It was intended as an interim replacement between the two-seater Fairey Fulmar and the naval Spitfire, which was in greater need with the RAF at the time in 1940. It was to prove a superb fighter for escort carriers and was pivotal in the defence of convoys.

Contains four flights of Warlord ResinTM aircraft with flying stands and role sector rings.

Models supplied unassembled and unpainted
