The Tyverian Empire is the strongest nation in Valerna, ruled by a caste of maghyr blood sorcerers and their vampyr guards. These forces can drain their opponents' lifeforce dry before launching a single hit, but they prefer to engage the enemy and make them bleed, so fallen opponents feed their powers as they fight.
