Griffins are intelligent avian beasts with the bodies of lions and the head, forelegs, and wings of eagles. An adult griffon is about 8 ft (2.4 meters) long, with a wingspan of 25 ft (7.6meters). The average griffon weighs around 500lb (226kg).
