The Salamanders are able to produce a flamable liquid from glands in their throat enabling them to spit this harsh sticky liquid at prey. If that wasn't bad enough, their environment they live in is usually very very hot, causing a reaction to the sticky fluid to set alight mid air. This makes it look like they are spitting fire at their prey. However on the surface this liquid can be used for many things if properly contained. Kept at the right temprature the fluid will stay dormant, in small amounts it can be used much in the same way as oil for lamps and torches. Larger amounts however can be devestating.
