This unique idol is part Ganesh and part Hanuman. Known as Adyanta Prabhu, it combines the best of both deities and signifies the beginning and end of the Universe. Typically Hindus begin their prayers with Ganesh and end with prayers to Hanuman. It is also considered auspicious to pray to Ganesha at the beginning of anything new. Hence 'aadi' or first. Hanuman, considered an avatar of Lord Shiva, is believed to remain even after creation is destroyed. Hence 'anta' or end. The combination of 'aadi' and 'anta' makes this deity 'Aadyanta Prabhu'.This unique figure is a representation of the balance between wisdom and strength, symbolizing the harmony between these two divine aspects.
