Improved version of the early BA-3 armored car. Features included a reinforced suspension and welded hull to reduce weight and increase cross-country capability. The Gorki Automobile plant manufactured at total of 366 vehicles, ending production in 1939. The BA-6 saw service in the Spanish Civil War, Far East conflicts, and the early stages of the Great Patriotic War.
