Description

Developed on Lonia 65, a rocky planet in the 467th sector of the Nexus galaxy, the X-Bug is a practical and durable vehicle built for challenging terrains.

The X-Bug is a single-seater off-road vehicle with a robust frame and an X-shaft undercarriage, designed to handle even the harshest environments. It is powered by an ultra-efficient hydrogen combustion engine, ensuring both high performance and environmental sustainability.

There are two versions of the 3D-printable X-Bug.

The civilian model features a large hydrogen fuel tank in the back, allowing for extended travel distances.

The military version is equipped with a turret mount, compatible with turrets from both my designs and many from 2nd Dynasty, offering additional flexibility for customization.

For those who prefer airborne transport, the X-Bug can also be converted into a flying vehicle. By attaching the engines from the UPC-Rampart, it can take to the skies with ease.

Features and Capabilities:

  • Civilian version with an extended hydrogen fuel tank.
  • Military version with a turret mount, supporting a range of compatible turrets.
  • Removable cockpit screen providing a clear view of the driver's seat and controls.
  • Modular design allows for additional customization options.

Joren Vex had never raced on Lonia 65 before. The planet's terrain was brutal—sharp basalt ridges, deep craters, and unstable ground that could swallow a vehicle whole. But the X-Bug was built for this. As the race began, Joren launched forward, the hydrogen engine of his X-Bug roaring against the desolate landscape. Dust storms from the competitors' tires blurred the way, but the vehicle's X-shaft suspension kept it stable as he maneuvered through the chaos. A tight pass through a rocky gorge forced him to take a risky line, balancing on the edge of an eroded cliffside before dropping back into the main track. The final stretch loomed ahead: the Ridge of Oris, a near-vertical climb where many had lost their lead before. While others hesitated, Joren pushed forward. The X-Bug's wheels dug into the stone, its undercarriage scraping as it fought for grip. With a last burst of power, he cleared the ridge and shot toward the finish line—crossing first, securing his place in Nexus racing history.
