Description

This set was inspired by the historical 369th Infantry Regiment.

When Operation Morning began and the forces of the United States drove north into Alaska, the volunteer infantry of the Harlem Hellfighters had been fighting for nearly a year in the trenches of Europe. This regiment, drawn from the boroughs of New York and comprised of soldiers of African descent, felt that the New French Republic was fighting for a more just world. With the hopes of inspiring similar equality in their home nation, they volunteered to fight. While there, they earned the nickname "Hellfighters" for their tenacity in combat.
