Part of Tribes and Patreon May2025 release.
This set is a bundle that contains these sets:
- The Thornhold Druidic Dungeon Modular OpenLOCK Structure
- Druidic Objects and Props

All the models are test printed and presupported when needed.

These are probably the most ambitious tiles I have made so far in terms of detail. And yeah, that's the main reason why the release comes so late. The set in itself is simple: dungeon walls and dungeon floors. But they are soo intricate. I wanted for this druidic stronghold to really give a natural and organic feel, with as much of it as possible made of root and bark. That meant, however, a very irregular and uneven terrain that made placing objects and props very hard, and that's why I experimented a lot on them.

I tried making them the same level, like intricate cables - too industrially looking to me. I tried to make them as large slabs of overlayed bark - weren't looking good. I tried to make peaceable planks of wood on top of them - it defeated the purpose of having this intricate design below them (although you can still see a bit of this experiment in the large wood slabs with which you can build tables). There is no way around it: a 3D root base terrain that looked good to me is just not flat. That's why I went with this design simple system.

You'll notice that the tiles have circular areas where there is no root nor rock. Those areas are meant to place objects that have to lay flat (tables, shelves, stools, etc..). There are magnet slots in those areas, and they are totally optional, but they will help with keeping the magnetized objects standing, unless you want to glue them. In case you want to the tiles to be empty, you can cover these magnet slots with the kitbash rocks (there are 18 of them, choose what you like!) which are magnetizable too, or with any hobby material. Most objects and props can just be scattered on top (root vases, barrels, etc..) and characters and monsters mins can definitely be placed on top of the root even if they tilt on one side more than the other because of the irregularity of the terrain. No risk they fall since these are ground level floors.

You don't think you will use root and tree tiles in your campaigns? No worries: there is a huge kitbash set that comes with this dungeon. You can use these models to place 3D spells and other magical effects on your battlemats (for example, the free walls are perfect for druid vegetable walls, the roots for entangle like spells, etc..). The roots themselves can be scattered to make patches of rough terrain or added to basically to any natural base or terrain build/diorama you can make. And there is a ton of them (76 unique ones just in the kitbash sets!). I am pretty sure you will find something useful in there :)

Tables, shelves, cages, stools, a ton of natural root based objects. They are designed to be spell-made, as if the druids of this circle used magic to grow roots that would hug stool tops, or shelf planks, or that would form circularly to make vases, bowls and so on. The cage itself can host most medium creatures and has a removable top - which I always find useful for rescue missions or to add spice to a dungeon. (Why does this druidic circle keep prisoners? Why is there a sacrificial knife on that table? I guess they are need of ritual compost!). The slabs of wood are there so that you can make your own tables (with the table legs) and the props have an array of druidic staffs, potions, etc.. There is eve a pine cone for details! I know I'll be printing a ton of those. Most of these models have also magnet slots on the bottom for easier placement and so that they stand up without need for glue.
