Muscadin de Precy, the perfumed and haughty, well spoken rat with his gold buttoned vest and shining breastplate once cut a dashing figure, always at the side of the Crimson Cardinal. He has, of late, found himself displaced by L’Abesse, and put in charge of a regiment of roaches, whom he loathes almost as much as he does the Lady who replaced him. Muscadin has lost none of his fearless ferocity in battle and is determined to prove his worth and regain his position. The other rats sometimes call him “La Bouche”, partly out of respect for a creature that speaks his mind, no matter what. The roaches he commands fear and idolize him, offering up smart salutes and performing every command at the double, in a vain attempt to seek his approval.
