Lasting from 1526 to the mid 19th century, the Mughal Empire controlled the majority of India. With the state religion being Islam, the Empire was nontheless majority Hindu due to its size and scope.
in the 16th century, the Mughals employed troops armed with Matchlock muskets to protect their holdings. Called Torador, these muskets were produced locally, and could in some cases be enhanced by artistic decorations. These were weapons all the same, and quite lethal.
