Yngvild The Great Huntress

When the great devourer descended upon the world of Issidar, it was a lush and vibrant landscape. Dense jungle spanning between the towering hold cities of the Kindred of Astrid's Quarry hide rich mineral resources and an exceptionally vibrant bio-diversity that attracted the Kindred to forge a great hold on the planetary surface. When the looming maw closed upon the world, the Kindred of Astrid's Quarry fought for over a decade of warfare, unable to keep the hive splinter from devouring the biomass of the planet, with Yngvild's reckless fury leaving her in the clutches of the hive bio-structures time and again. With the final vestiges drawing into a prolonged hellish stand from the great iron bastions, Yngvild was once again directing the last stand. The queen of the wylds stood firm, and in spite of countless decades hunting great beasts of Issidar's surface was undone at the hands of a great wyrm. Yngvild, like many of her kindred were wrested from the bastions, again kept upon the walls of great hive bio-structures while the splinter slowly stripped the planet of mineral and biomass. It wouldn't be until their distress calls, brought by escaping voidships would summon the fury of Idunni upon the devouring hive. Slowly scourged away, the hive having left her sisters dead, devoured by the hive's beasts while she would remain, merely broken yet unequivocally stubborn in her fury. Slowly rebuilt with a body of steel skin, Yngvild would put to oath to strike out against the devouring hive wherever they would threaten Idunni's holds. What little remained of Astrid's Quarry were reintegrated with other kindreds of the Idunni Consortium, their once rich hearthworld stripped barren, and while efforts to revitalize the world have begun, it would be untold centuries before their efforts bear any fruit.
