T-28 Mod. 1938 Soviet Medium Tank - 1/72 Scale

Model Description:
This download contains a highly detailed model of a 1938 model T-28 medium. Documentation and references for the real vehicle were rigorously studied to make the model as geometrically accurate as possible, except in the cases where printability would have to be sacrificed (such as the fender thickness).

Historical Description:
The T-28 was a Soviet medium tank used during the winter war, as well as the early years of World War 2. This model represents an example of the vehicle from 1938, featuring the cylindrical turret design. The T-28 was equipped with the 76mm KT-28 cannon, which had limited use against armor, but was primarily designed as an infantry-support weapon. The T-28 was also equipped with a pair of smaller turrets housing 7.62mm DT machine guns. The T-28 would be phased out in favor of tanks such as the T-34 and KV series vehicles.
 
In Armored Advance:
In armored advance the T-28 features a competitive health pool for its cost, due to its size. This is where the survivability of the vehicle ends, however, as the armor is quite poor. The firepower is not much better, being best suited for clearing infantry with a combination of its MGs and HE rounds on the cannon. In terms of anti-tank capabilities, the cannon will do significant damage in the rare case that it actually can pierce enemy armor. The T-28 is not slow by any measure, but it will lag behind other, faster designs.
