Description
Utahceratops gettyi was a large horned dinosaur that lived about 76 million years ago during the Late Cretaceous in what is now Utah, USA.
Belonging to the centrosaurine ceratopsians, it reached nearly 7 meters in length and had a massive, stocky body.
Its most distinctive features were long, forward-curving brow horns and a short nasal horn, giving it a formidable appearance.
The frill was broad and ornamented, likely used for display or species recognition. Utahceratops was a herbivore, feeding on low-growing vegetation in lush floodplain environments.
