Unknown Tech Module

No one agrees on what the module actually does—only that every side on the battlefield wants it. Its armored facets are laced with conduits and sealed hatches, humming with a subsonic rhythm that makes teeth ache and auspex screens blur. Some call it a power core, others a data vault, but the bravest whisper that it might be a seed of machinery waiting for the right command to unfold into something far larger than the war raging around it.
