A devout warrior who perished during the Battle of Duskweave over a decade ago, fighting the forces of Myrothlir’s spawn. Now she looks down from Syelden, among the Selvaneri, wondering if her death was in vain. The suffering that followed the battle in the infighting that led to the Liturium War far outscored the suffering in the battle itself. She ponders if Mindoriel’s Spawn had a hand in it, or if such conflicts are the nature of Men and Elves.
A soldier of the Church of the Tharameni, Soleria was among the Belfrian clergy who were sent to Duskweave in the battle, joining Yinsylim as they fought through the forces of undead into the isle’s centre. As they arrived in the town that concealed the lair of Lich Kelathar, they were ambushed. Soleria was among those who perished, joining Yinsylim’s vanguard to delve into the Lich’s lair. She sacrificed herself holding back the rear flank as the hordes of undead began to overwhelm them. She held a narrow passage in the tunnel for hours, undead piling at her feet until exhaustion took her, and the tide of death claimed her. She awoke in Syelden, anointed as a Selvaneri for her selfless sacrifice, and told that her struggle had resulted in the destruction of Kelathar, and the freedom of Duskweave.
Yet the years that followed left her in deep sorrow. Duskweave and its Liturium became the source of conflict, and the armies that fought alongside each other against the undead, turn their blades to each other only five years later. The Liturium War erupted, and the Men of Belfrie and Formen bled against their former Leacianan allies. To her, it felt that her death and the war were in vain. More lives perished in the Liturium War than ever did on Duskweave. To her, it felt as though an invisible hand had guided them to this war, and she pondered whether Mindoriel’s Dark Spawn were that hand.
Now as their forces storm the gates of Syelden, she believes her thought to be true. In divine wrath she exacts justice against them, ensuring their swift and painful ends. Though she knows she will extract no truth from the grunts that crash against Syelden’s gates, but prays that Seroca itself might show its veiled visage, so that she may cut out its eye and uncover what it has seen, and meddled with.
