The new Location is here — descend into the Black Meridian, a shattered scar where the Material Plane overlaps the Plane of Madness.
What you will find inside the PDF:
Location Perils
- Gravity Pockets — unstable zones where falling, movement, and even flight behave unpredictably. Some slow a fall; others reverse it entirely.
- Perception Breaks — parts of the canyon where distance and angles refuse to behave. Ledges can seem near or far, routes distort, and travel can be shortened or dangerously delayed.
- Overland Travel through the Fracture — movement through the Black Meridian is slow and deliberate, shaped by unstable ledges, chain roads, gondolas, collapsed stairs, and hazardous detours.
Factions in Conflict
- Fracture Cartel — the Hanging Stone clans who control salvage, ore, ladders, platforms, and much of the work in the Drop and Deep.
- House of the Broken Sky — the last remnant of the Qyintakla scribes, recording ledge shifts, anchors, sky changes, and fracture patterns to prevent another Convergence.
- Host of the Stone Chain — the Meridian Wardens who maintain pylons, chain roads, descent lines, and legal salvage across the Rim.
- Shattered Meridian — cult circles who study and exploit the overlap between the Material Plane and the Plane of Madness, seeking to shape it through rites and Demogorgon’s power.
Notable Locations
- Meridian Hold — a stepped fortress-temple on the Rim where the Host controls pylons, chain roads, and legal salvage.
- Naq Maxtal’s Heart — the fused core where the Concord Rite broke and Demogorgon’s aspect first forced the fracture open.
- Sun Temple — a modest shrine in Lullsway whose rites now trigger precise, meridian-marked effects on anchors, gravity, and routes.
- T’lalco Starwatch — a sideways-hanging Xotalan observatory whose instruments still react to fracture pulses instead of the current sky.
- Xalco’s Ledge — a crowded salvage and charter town above the Drop, built on fused Xotalan stairways that now end in open air.
Perfect for: D&D 5E campaigns built around fracture-scarred exploration, dangerous overland travel, gravity-warped hazards, salvage expeditions, cult activity, and dark sandbox adventures in a world touched by Demogorgon’s madness.
