Description

Count Ioannis Kapodistrias (1776–1831) was a distinguished Greek diplomat and statesman. Born in Corfu, he served as Foreign Minister of the Russian Empire and played a key role in European diplomacy. In 1827 he was elected the first Governor of independent Greece. He is widely regarded as the founder of the modern Greek state for his tireless efforts in organizing the new nation after the 1821 Revolution. He was assassinated in Nafplio in 1831.

This is a free miniature available to everyone and not limited to subscribers. Instead of the pure historical sculpture I have decided to give all these characters a more stylized look with an action hero orientation. So in this particular instance, Count Kapodistrias comes with a flintlock pistol which he could have carried at some point during his life although I dont have any sources that point to that directly.
