A knight of the Order of the Owl, Eulysses remains its sole survivor after its destruction during both the Liturium War and Dragonblight plagues. Now with little direction left, he sinks himself into the constant thrill of battle, in hopes to find himself a worthy death, even if it is to the cries and cheers of the commoners.

The sole survivor of the Order of the Owl, a knightly order of devoted to watching over Tharador’s realms of knowledge and scripture. Warrior-scholars is how they best would have described themselves in their heyday, having sent their soldiers to the frontlines of the Liturium War to aid the Coalition, also making the first scholastic observations of the strange realm at the frontline. Already this saw the order decimated, losing dozens of their knights in the ruthless fighting. Eulysses was the sole among them to return, forced to write the annals of his harrowing experience on the frontlines. Of his comrades, butchered or turned to glass by Leacianan high magicks. Of his own skin peeling from his flesh as he suffered grievous wounds at their hands.

When he returned, he was not the same, and rather than be given peace, he was badgered and pestered by his masters each and every day to continue his writings. When Dragonblight struck the kingdom of Draksborne, he was the sole knight of his order to remain behind, custodian to their keep whilst the rest searched for glory. None returned. With no reason to linger in the empty halls any longer, Eulysses left his home, finding comfort in the Crucible instead.

What he hoped to find there, he was unsure. But a new sense of camaraderie was one thing he did not expect to uncover. Though he found strangely, those within the halls of the arena felt more like his kin than those who he once called brother. Many had seen the ugly, grim reality of war. The side that isn’t written about in annals and legends. Here, he found belonging, and he hoped a new purpose might arise from it.
