Welcome to the May Tavern Theme release from DKYN Minis.
This month is all about the characters who make a tavern feel like more than just four walls, a bar, and a few tables. These are the servers, drinkers, troublemakers, performers, strangers, workers, weirdos, and background legends that turn a simple tavern scene into something your players actually remember.
As always, DKYN Minis is focused on the NPCs you didn’t know you needed — the characters that fill the room, start the rumors, cause the problems, and make the world feel lived in.
This month’s release includes:
Half-Orc Barkeep — the heavy presence behind the bar, built like someone who has broken up more fights than he has served drinks.
Peg-Legged Barmaid — cheerful, capable, and still moving through the room with drinks in hand like nothing slows her down.
Dwarf in a Barrel — a ridiculous tavern moment turned into a mini, because sometimes the party needs to walk into pure chaos.
Three Goblins in a Trench Coat — suspicious, badly disguised, and absolutely convinced this plan is working.
Angry Goliath with a Chair — mid-tavern brawl energy, holding the chair like someone is about to have a very bad night.
The Baker — a practical town worker brought into the tavern scene, perfect for markets, kitchens, inns, or early-morning town encounters.
Boot Drinker — a man so deep into the night that his own boot has become a drinking vessel.
Bouncer with Two Halflings — the end result of bad decisions, worse manners, and a bouncer who has had enough.
The Old Harbinger — a wild old man with the kind of presence that makes everyone wonder if he is crazy, cursed, or right.
Sleeping Drunk with Stacked Tankards — passed out in his chair while the rest of the tavern quietly turns him into a balancing game.
Dwarf with a Pint — simple, classic, and always useful: a dwarf enjoying a drink like he belongs in every tavern scene.
Halfling Bard on a Chair — small in size, big in performance, standing tall with his lute and making sure the whole room hears him.
Happy Tiefling with Two Tankards — walking through the tavern with drinks in hand and a good mood that probably means trouble is nearby.
Troll on a Hay Cart — fully relaxed, taking up too much space, and drinking straight from a barrel like it was made for him.
Knife Performer — a tavern entertainer holding three knives in one hand, ready to impress the room or make everyone nervous.
Samuel — an amputee with no limbs, sitting there happy as can be, bringing a strangely unforgettable warmth to the tavern.
Sleazy Merchant — coat open, goods on display, and the exact kind of seller who makes you wonder what else he has hidden.
The Temptress — beautiful, mysterious, and impossible to read; the kind of tavern guest who immediately feels like she knows more than she says.
Hooded Mystery Man — seated, smoking his pipe, and watching from under a hood like he has been waiting for the right person to walk in.
Town Militia with a Pint — off duty, drink in hand, and perfect for adding local authority without turning the scene into a guard post.
Whether your players are gathering rumors, celebrating a win, starting a fight, meeting a stranger, or walking into the worst tavern in town, this release gives you a full cast of NPCs ready to drop straight onto the table.
Thank you for supporting DKYN Minis.
Welcome to the tavern.
