T-100 - Soviet Heavy Tank - 1/72 Scale

Model Description:
This download contains a highly detailed model of the T-100 multi-turreted heavy tank. Documentation and references for the real vehicle were rigorously studied to make the model as geometrically accurate as possible, except in the cases where printability would have to be sacrificed (such as the fender thickness).

Historical Description:
The T-100 was an experimental heavy tank which saw limited use during the Winter War with Finland. It was one of the designs competing to be the next Soviet heavy tank, alongside the KV-1 and SMK tanks. The vehicle was armed with multiple armaments, including three 7.62mm DT MGs, a 45mm 20K cannon, and a 76mm L-11 cannon. The vehicle was massive, weighing 58 tons, and featured thick armor for the time. Ultimately the vehicle was not particularly effective and lost out to what would become the KV series of vehicles with only 2 being produced. The chassis did live on briefly as the bases for the SU-100Y tank destroyer, though this vehicle itself only had one example converted from a T-100.
