The Northern Raptor Light Attack Mech

When Kushal Heavy Industries introduced its rudimentary Basic Raptor some years ago, the design priority was putting warheads and blades on (and through) the enemy target, with pilot comfort (or survivability) taking a distant back seat.

The Northern Raptor is an upgrade from that stoic design, with additional insulation and hostile environmental protection for the pilot and other subsystems that had a tendency to freeze on low temperature or hard vacuum battlegrounds.

A new autocannon was commissioned for the design, as well as a repurposed forestry tool with upgraded blades and motors to carve into enemy hulls.

Horns and spikes as cosmetic options are among the most notable design changes made by the upgrade contractor, Red Dragon Armaments. Not surprisingly, Northern Raptors are now found among the ranks of forces loyal (or enslaved to) The Dark Forces, filling their merciless battalions with eager new killing machines. Fortunately, pilots of more noble character are able to field their own Northern Raptors, helping to hold the line across the gate routes leading to and from Junctionworld.
