Altar Of The Tank God

Amongst the seemingly endless tank, vehicle and mechanoid walker metal carcasses lies the main target for each wandering Metallurgist of the Tank Graveyard wastes - the Altar of the Tank God. The scavengers of the Tank Graveyard, Metallurgist Monks and creatures that lurk amongst the shadows of the huge wreckages all seek the blessings of the shrine. The old scrolls from the past hundreds of years describe this as a place of pilgrimage - but battles and even wars have been fought around it for centuries.

The Tank God Altar receives (but not always accepts) all sacrifices people are willing to shove into the two furnaces built into the side of the altar. These sacrificial gifts incinerate almost immediately due to the heat inside the furnaces, and the smoke that shoots out from the scavenged tank turret pipes is said to hold unknown powers. The people and creatures arriving to the altar then breath in these fumes filled with oily smoke and whatever they had sacrificed into the melting furnaces. The rituals are completed more successfully with the help of the most elder Metallurgist Monk - the High Cog Priest, who knows the secret rites, prayers and how to temper the amount of smoke to ensure that the recipient does not become a victim.

The altar hill itself has 4 points of entry on each side of the hill (steps carved into the rocky hill or metal ladders). I also made some interesting pokey bits into the cliff, so the piece has a bit of multi level gameplay and provides more interesting angles and possibly a bit of cover.

The set contains 2 different versions of the hill - one with a brick base (you can put the Altar of the Tank God or something else on top of it) and a flat version. The flat version is perfect if you just want to put some other terrain on top of the hill, or use a different type of altar on it.
