Bring The Unfinished Hunt to your D&D 5E table—an Archvillain encounter set across the old roads of Giasetti, where stolen shadows, sealed relics, broken memories, and Restorationist rites lead toward the return of Akata, the Endless Hunger.
Inside this PDF you will find:
- Fangs of the Howling God — Archvillain Encounter
Akata is the demon lord of the hunt, once worshipped as the highest authority of the Gia Empire. After his disappearance, fragments of his bone, flesh, and weapons fell across Giasetti, each still carrying a measure of his demonic Hunger.
Now the Restorationists have recovered one of his severed limbs and carried it to the Temple of the Last Well, where they intend not to rebuild their god from remains, but to draw a complete living incarnation of Akata out of history and bind him to the present.
- The Unfinished Hunt
This fifth edition adventure can be run as the climax of a larger campaign involving Akata’s fragments, the Restorationists, and the Silencers, or as a standalone adventure beginning in Khadur, a gnoll settlement built within the stepped reservoir of an old imperial fort.
From Khadur, the party follows altered manifests, missing travelers, shadowless victims, stolen relics, and old Gia roads southwest toward the Last Well.
- Giasetti, Khadur, and the Road to the Last Well
The adventure includes investigation material in Khadur, rumors, faction tension, salvage records, the Open Table encounter, and the Silencer guide Rhek of Old Road.
Across Giasetti, characters may face remembrance-pylon rites, bloodstained camps, false trail markers, captive sacrifices, and Restorationist operations meant to feed Akata’s return.
- The Hungry Throne
The final battle takes place within Akata’s Abyssal court, a ruined realm of black grass, iron-bound fangs, fallen terraces, a bone-built throne, and the souls trapped within the Eternal Hunt.
At the center stand three remembrance pylons and an iron cage holding Akata’s severed limb. Stolen blood sustains the crossing, stolen memories prepare Akata for the present, stolen shadows guide the path between eras, and captured souls keep the passage open.
- Scalable Encounter Design
Designed for four to six characters and optimized for parties of four at APL 8, 13, or 18.
Encounter versions included:
