Enter Giasetti with the Fangs of the Howling God Gazetteer!
This Lorebook explores a harsh savannah and desert region once ruled by the Gia Empire, where gnoll city-states, river settlements, oasis communities, ruined outposts, bloodwells, and old imperial works still endure beneath the shadow of Akata, the Endless Hunger.
Long ago, Akata turned scattered gnoll tribes into a conquering empire. Under his rule, Giasetti saw the rise of fortified cities, stone bridges, aqueducts, irrigation channels, bloodwells, and ziggurat temples raised in the name of hunger, ambition, and power. When Akata vanished from the Material Plane, his departure left fragments of his body scattered across the land and split gnolls into a lasting conflict.
Within its pages, you will discover the rise and fall of the Gia Empire, the civil war between those who seek Akata’s return and those who would keep him sealed away, the Hunger that spreads through blood, air, dreams, and proximity to his fragments, and the Breath, a blood-red demonic wind that still roams Giasetti with whispers, carrion stink, lightning, and madness.
The Gazetteer also details Giasetti’s rivers, deserts, savannahs, oases, dangerous flora and fauna, the worship of Akata, Meelomon, and Sejarett, gnoll cultural practices such as scent markers, meditation, exertion, weavework, and arcane weaving, and the major factions struggling over the future of the region: the Restorationists, the Silencers, Viccare’s Guard, and the Riverine Guild.
Perfect for D&D 5E campaigns centered on fallen empires, demonic relics, desert and river travel, faction conflict, and dark fantasy adventures where hunger is never merely hunger.
