Deep One Executioner - Quorenderi's Razor

The executioner of Quorenderi. The Razor is used as the weapon of the cult against unsavoury types who might threaten the fabric of their society. When outsiders ask too many questions, or pose a threat to people within the cult, the Razor is unleashed upon them. In the unlikely event the Razor perishes, a new one is chosen to take their place, having their lips stripped and head bagged by a burlap sack. All Razor’s bear the same appearance, giving them an illusion of immortality, where they become an unstoppable threat that will continue to pursue their enemy, days later.

When the devotion of the Drowned are not able to wash away outsiders who threaten the sanctity of the cult’s secrecy, Quorenderi’s Razor is summoned. A faceless follower with a burlap sack over his head. There have been many Razor’s over the years, as they are hand picked from amongst the Drowned and undergo their own unique transmogrification to take on their new role. When one Razor dies, another takes their place, less than a day later. Thus to the few who have managed to kill a Razor in the past, they find themselves pursued by it again the next day, believing the creature to be immortal.

Some Razor’s die to other causes as well, owing to the heavy toll the transmogrification has on their body. Some find that they may only last for weeks in their new mortal shell, before their organs begin breaking down and their bones jellify. The fact that the Razor is a recurring role, rather than a singular, immortal entity, is a fact unknown even by most within the cult, save for the Rebirthed and greater ranking members. Even the Drowned believe the Razor is eternal, meaning those selected for the role are ignorant to the fact until their lips are being torn from their face and their muscles are engorged with blood and sea water.
