Tank Graveyard - Tank Shack 1

Description

Inside the vast expanses of the rust, dust and metal filled Tank Graveyard lies a civilization shrouded in oil-fogged mystery - The Tank Dwellers. These people (or should they be called creatures?) origins are unknown, but most likely they are deserters, murderers, small criminals and outcasts of the neighbouring societies. Hundreds of years of continuous war has a way of bringing together those who other have forsaken - and thus this small rugged settlements are born amongst the endless tank and vehicle wreckages. People seeking cover from amongst their brethren.

The Tank Dwellers live by scraping the wreckages for lost artifacts and spare parts - which they then sell to the wandering merchants and traders who are daring enough to venture into the Tank Graveyard. The long lost relics are valuable enough to attract also explorers and treasure hunters - which creates a micro ecosystem where quick thinking, keen eye and endurance against rust dust prove ultimately important.

The "Tank Graveyard - Tank Shack 1" set contains a medium sized scrapyard tank shack - built straight into the wreckage of an old destroyed tank. The building is sculpted with a lot of details that tell a story of someone living here, maybe for years, maybe already settled for decades. It provides plenty of Line of Sight blocking angles and the roof has enough space to fit miniatures on top - creating interesting elevated gameplay.

I recommend combining this set with my other sets, like the Destroyed Tank Wrecks (Mk1 and S-ISU) - you can put elevated walkways between the highest points to create an interesting stronghold with multiple levels of advancing for skirmishing infantry!

Set is usable in all 28-32mm sci-fi skirmish or history based tabletop wargames. Super nicely fits Trench Warfare too! This set fits multiple different styles and settings very well (lacks any specific iconography to tie to only one setting). Painting should also be very straightforward - use different metal paints, maybe slab some color onto some metal panels and finish with weathering effects (rust - dust) and you are done and have a beautiful terrain piece!

Printing:
The set prints support free on FDM (some minimal scarring might occur on a few overhangs). Print the roof piece separately and glue it on and you are golden! This is not tested on resin printer, so FDM is recommended (full set test printed on FDM).

Scale: 28-32mm (small miniature on pictures is standing on a 25mm base, miniature not included in the set)
Printability: FDM recommended
Size: 218x150x115mm (~8.58 x 5.91 x 4.53 inches)

This set is the first release for October 2026 Tribes and Patreon.
