In Creepyland, the Queen of Hearts has grown accustomed to having everything she wants. Whatever catches her eye becomes hers to play with, torment or devour. A lifetime of indulgence has made her monstrous, and still she wants more. Alice has arrived just in time to amuse her.

For Alice, the most frightening thing is how much the Queen is enjoying herself. There is no anger to soothe, no misunderstanding to explain. Her Majesty is in an excellent mood. The White Rabbit’s fate has only sharpened her appetite, and Alice is discovering what it means to be someone’s favourite thing in a kingdom where nothing cherished survives for long.

Wonderland’s absurdity becomes a vicious joke at Alice’s expense. The royal manners, the games and the familiar promise of a fairy tale continue around her, horribly indifferent to her chances of surviving. Somewhere, this was supposed to be an adventure. In the Queen’s hands, every remaining moment belongs to someone else’s pleasure.
