Sov Inf R36 Maxim HMG

The Soviet Union was searching for a replacement to its antiquated maxim heavy machine guns before the out break of hostilities with Germany.  However, the replacement was slow to come into production and plagued with problems.  The maxim continued as the main HMG long into the war.
