Tsh_Triarii-Guard: Close Combat Variant

The Triarii Guard are deployed where the line is most likely to fail. Fast, agile, and highly adapted to broken terrain, these organisms are used to cover vulnerable sectors, reinforce exposed flanks, and intercept threats moving through ground the enemy assumes is too difficult to contest effectively. By the time an opening is identified, Triarii are often already moving to close it.

Their close-combat variant is used when the Hegemony needs a rapid defensive response at short range. They excel at crossing obstructed terrain, shifting position quickly, and engaging intruders before a breach can properly develop. This makes them particularly effective at protecting larger, more vulnerable units and at denying access through terrain that appears safe only until the Triarii arrive.
