In the early days of the Syndicate, horses were a very rare resource, grown only for the more privileged and for sport rather then for work. However, once the Mainland Trades Co. started expanding its businesses outside the island, they were met with heavy resistance from the local tribes who had plenty of these beasts. Nevertheless, it is safe to assume that it was not a welcoming sight. This highlighted a very important vulnerability in the Syndicate army: the lack of a mobile force that can hit fast and pack a punch, engage at distance or close by, run from what it cannot kill and catch what cannot kill it. Well, a program was born, funded with venture capital in the form of requisited horses from the tribes that were too weak to fight back, and a new regiment was formed. The skirmishers, improperly named that way given their really heavy armour as well as their large sabres and flintlock revolvers, are used by the Syndicate armies as both fast flankers as well as shock cavalry which would be a dream come true if they would excel at anyone of these two capabilities. Neither are well addressed, but the regiment still retains its usefulness as the cheapest cavalry that can be deployed.
This model is the third in the tier 1 units for the Syndicate faction. It is also the first cavlary unit that I publish on this profile so feel free to use it any way you want.
Made for resin printers of all types, some details are pretty small so I recommend to add the supports manually. Model is a bit large and but can be mass printed. Model comes unsupported.
This design was sculpted as part of the collaboration with the amazing Tanner. You can find him at .
