Massive Darkness: Dungeons of Shadowreach takes the epic dungeon-crawling action of its predecessors and brings more thrilling adventures to this beloved setting. Step into the boots of six new lightbringers as you battle against the forces of Darkness in the depths of Shadowreach, a forgotten realm of endless danger and mystery.
Creatures of Legend is an expansion for Massive Darkness: Dungeons of Shadowreach, which offers a variety of new enemies that can be added to any Quest to spice up your Massive Darkness experience. It also includes 1 epic Quest that ends with an encounter with an epic Red Dragon!
What’s Inside the Creatures of Legend Expansion:

Creatures of Legend is an expansion with unique enemies to face off against and an epic boss fight that awaits Lightbringers in the ruins of an ancient Dwarven civilization! The enemies included can be added to any Quest to diversify the pool of enemies you will face.
Creatures of Legend adds many familiar and iconic fantasy creatures into any Quest. They behave very differently from the other creatures of Shadowreach and will add a new dimension to your gameplay!
These sentient blobs are incredibly difficult to defeat, as they continue to split into smaller entities when cut down! Just when you think you've finished off the Ooze, you'll find yourself facing a swarm of Oozlings instead.
These 2 Enemies are one and the same! Cutting down the Ooze Roaming Monster will cause it to split into the Oozling Mob. These enemies share the unique property of using each other’s spawn cards for extra activations, should either one of them be already spawned in the Dungeon.
These creatures lurk among your regular chests and doors. Lightbringers will be in for a nasty surprise when they open them, only to have these creatures lunge at them!
The False Chest and False Door come with unique tokens that are shuffled into your regular set of tokens during setup. Should you reveal one of these tokens, the False Chest or Door is immediately spawned! Once spawned, they activate immediately, allowing them to deliver a pre-emptive strike that will leave Lightbringers stunned and debilitated.
This expansion comes with a unique quest where Lightbringers must unravel the mysteries of the dwarven ruins to find the treasures hidden deep within them. Once you have unveiled the secrets of the dwarven ruins, flip over the 4 tiles to begin the epic confrontation with the Red Dragon!
The massive Red Dragon is a unique boss that dominates the center of four zones. It flies across the battlefield, landing on specific zones determined by a dice roll. Lightbringers, beware! Its impressive frame will crush anyone unfortunate enough to be caught in the landing zone.
The ancient dwarven forges set the stage for this perilous encounter! Watch out for the rivers of lava that flow through the area and be careful not to get burnt as you navigate the molten landscape. As the Dragon attacks, it will leave behind pools of molten lava, turning an already dangerous battlefield into a fiery nightmare!
The massive Red Dragon soars around the battlefield, unleashing torrents of fire that will incinerate any Lightbringer in its path. Its attacks are unleashed in a straight line, and the only way to avoid them is to take cover! Fortunately, there are plenty of places to hide in this chamber—so make sure to find shelter before it’s too late.
