Barnaby The Regular - Human Npc

Barnaby the Regular doesn't work at the tavern, although judging by the amount of time he spends there, newcomers could be forgiven for thinking otherwise. With one hand pressed dramatically against his chest and an overflowing mug raised toward the rafters, Barnaby is rarely more than a few drinks away from another toast, another song, or another increasingly unbelievable story. Everyone knows his name, everyone has heard his stories, and his usual seat is considered occupied even when he isn't sitting in it.

Barnaby works well as a tavern patron or colorful local, especially when you want an inn or drinking hall to feel genuinely populated rather than staffed entirely by adventurers and employees.
