Oswald the Burgher is a prosperous town citizen whose clothing makes his comfortable station immediately apparent. A heavy fur-lined robe hangs over fine garments, a well-filled purse rests at his belt, and a walking cane supports one hand while the other sits casually behind his back. Oswald has the well-fed appearance and easy confidence of a man whose livelihood depends more upon trade, property, and negotiation than hard labor.

Oswald works well as a wealthy burgher or prosperous merchant, fitting naturally into markets, guildhalls, town councils, trading districts, and busy medieval streets.
