A nobleman from a land far away. Prince Charming has come to the land of Grimmvale led by the tale of a beautiful maiden. One who stands longingly from the highest room of the tallest tower in the land, singing songs in the open valley that surrounds her prison. Whilst he has heard many knights have failed to win her favour, Prince Charming is confident that he will not share the same fate.

From a land far across the razor and icy mountains of Ilsaria, came the enchanting hero Prince Charming. Rumours had passed across those mountains by way of traders, travellers and wayfarers, of the Maiden of the Tower in Grimmvale. A lady of unrivalled beauty locked away in a tower in a scenic valley. Whilst rumours have told that all who tried to win her favour thus far have failed, Prince Charming is confident that he will succeed where those before him did not.

Upon his arrival he has received many warnings from locals that the maiden in the tower is far from the glittering golden stories that he was led to believe. Many have warned him that his quest for her heart may see him lose his own. However, all such warnings have fallen on deaf ears. A man like Prince Charming need not heed the advice of the commonfolk, who must be parting false warnings unto him borne of their own jealousy.

He has glanced on the maiden’s tower only once, since his arrival. Noting the piles of corpses at its base. Lesser men, he tells himself, preparing for his own brave journey to the maiden’s hand, readying himself in the nearby village for whatever fearsome beast lurks near the tower that slew the men before. Unbeknownst to Prince Charming, their ends were met by the very maiden he seeks. Should he walk headfirst into the same folly, he will be but another corpse at the base of the tower.
