An assassin who serves Glanbeli, and takes orders solely from Kadna Glydrin. Ilyara is one of the deadliest tools available to the Temple of Glanbeli, and has slain many noble leaders through the ranks of the Irinaxi Drow over the years. Whilst she has had many close brushes with death herself, none yet have claimed her life. In the time of the schism, Kadna weighs whether she should use Ilyara to swiftly put a stop to the New Moon, or whether it might only empower their cause.

Raised by the Temple of Glanbeli, Ilyara was honed as a deadly tool from birth. Whilst she always felt the love of Glanbeli and the temple's mothers, they were always used as a means to fuel her in her indignation towards the Irinaxi Drow, who would hope to take it all away from her. Through training, she was told to envision her arachnophilic foes, telling her tales of the torture methods used by the Irinaxi Drow, and the way they abduct children of Glanbeli, like her, to be used in their ritual sacrifices.

Like all children of Glanbeli, Ilyara was instilled with a hatred of her Irinaxi kin through her childhood. Yet, unlike the other children, she was taught expressly their weaknesses, their flaws, and how best to exploit them to ensure their deaths. She was trained as an Assassin of the Waning Moon, owing to the fact her mother before her bore the same title, but perished in childbirth, a fact Ilyara did not learn until much later into her life.

By then, she was already wholly dedicated to the Temple. Glanbeli was her mother. As was each priestess who raised her. None more than Kadna, the High Priestess, who many dearly loved like their own mother. Now Ilyara is at Kadna’s beck and call, and among the most loyal of her servants. Whoever Kadna marks for death, Ilyara will see her will be done. So far, she has not failed a single task appointed to her, but had many close brushes with death herself.
