The High Priestess of Glanbeli. Kadna has been the religious leader of the Glanbelite Drow for several years, and led them in their crusade against the Irinaxi Drow. Yet for each place liberated from the Irinaxi, another falls to their wrath, and the war is becoming toilsome for all involved. Thus the Order of the New Moon has spawned, a rival Glanbelite faction challenging Kadna’s rule and wishing to make amends with their Iranaxi kin than war against them. Kadna has thus further empowered herself as a martial ruler, foreseeing that a war within is becoming inevitable.

The religious leader of the Glanbelite Drow, Kadna became the de facto leader of her people after the saga of the Falling Moon several years ago, an event which she unintentionally orchestrated. Yet, in doing so, Kadna was able to awaken the soul of the Great Moon Glanbeli from its millennia long slumber, becoming her representative and voice upon Minera. Since that time, her place within the hierarchy of Hirika has reached the highest peak, and though her authority is not technically above the council’s, the people would listen to her long before they would adhere to orders of the council.

With this unwavering loyalty presented by her followers, Kadna has been able to wage a war against their hostile kin in Iriksha, those who worship the dark Spider God, Irinax. Slowly but surely, her forces have liberated villages from their wrath and expanded their own influence southward as they dismantle Irinax’s grasp on their kin. Many Drow freely join their Glanbelite kin, yet there also are many who resist, for Irinax is all they have known and their minds will not so easily be pried from his grasp.

Now, Kadna faces a new threat. One not from Irinax, but within. A pretender named Glydnos, a Drow of the Swamp who has never stepped within the halls of Glanbeli’s Temple. He claims to be the Moon Wanderer, that he walks and speaks with Glanbeli in his dreams, and he can project his spirit to the white sands of her surface. At first, he was dismissed as a harmless madman, yet many young priestesses left Kadna’s service to join him, believing his story. Glydnos claims Glanbeli does not wish to see any more blood shed between the Drow, but unity. Exactly at odds with Kadna’s own prayers to Glanbeli, who says they should quell the Irinaxi threat through force; they cannot be merciful to evil. Now a schism within the Glanbelite Drow is being brought to boil as the Order of the New Moon threatens Kadna’s own rule, and the peace within Hirika. Should war erupt within, it is no doubt that the Irinaxi will use the opportunity to reclaim their lost territory. Another fact which leads Kadna to believe Glydnos may be an agent of Irinax, or at least a hapless fool influenced by the dark divine’s machinations.
