Drow Swamp Ranger - Vexana

Years ago, Vexana left the safety of Hirika to wander the swamps of Lo Fuin on her own, having become disillusioned with the rigid hierarchy of her home. Her say held merely a grain of dirt against the word of the councillors, despite all she had seen and done on the front lines. The swamp has offered her the solace she sought, though she still worships Glanbeli in her own way. She has remained hostile to outsiders, unlike her kin in Hirika.

Vexana was an elite ranger among the Glanbelite Drow. She had trekked the depths beneath Lo Fuin for decades, and survived many skirmishes with the Irinaxi Drow. She was a scout when Kadna began her war against their spider-worshipping kin, one who danced with death regularly, escaping its binds time after time. She made her voice heard to the council: the war could not be sustained. The Irinaxi Drow outnumbered them, and were bolstering their ranks with conscripts and rival villages quicker than the Glanbelites could slay them. It was a war of attrition that the Glanbelites would lose without a change in tactics.

Her concerns fell on deaf ears. She was a commoner. No one of importance. Her words carried no weight. So she left them. Out of the depths of Hirika, she surfaced into the swamps of Lo Fuin, travelling to a village she had heard of by others, ruled by a husband and wife who wanted nothing to do with the conflict beneath their feet. There she has resided. Whilst she is disillusioned by the rule of her people, she still worships Glanbeli in her own way, and indeed feels closer to the Moon here than ever before. Yet, like the Swamp Dweller Drow she now lives with, she is hostile to outsiders, and has already slain an interloper who tried to reach their village.
