DOUBLE DOORS, DOORWAYS, AND 10’ ARCHES
28/32mm Double doors designed to work in conjunction with Magna-Build Terrain System. Both Freestanding doors and Slot-over doorways with doors are included. Also include a 10-foot archway that fits over the freestanding doors or over a 10-foot gap in wall pieces.
Contains STL Files for door sets that are 38mm high and 2 inches wide. Also, snap-together side panels, which are snapped into the door pieces to trap magnet balls inside. The Slot-over doorway contains a spacer piece, A side panel with pin holes for the doors, and two doors with posts that hang into the side panels, and can be opened and closed. The archway is 2 inches wide and contains magnet pockets on both ends that allow it to be stacked onto Magna-Build wall pieces. Detailed instructions are also included.
There are many 3D dungeon systems and accessories available today, and this is…another one. What sets the Magna-Build system apart, however, is the design philosophy at its core: this is not ‘Diorama Terrain’ that you can use to play a role-playing game with…this is terrain that is designed for role-playing, designed to improve the experience without slowing it down. Sure, you may still want to use that fancy Diorama Terrain for special events and key encounters, but Magna-Build can easily fill the gap when you don’t have time to mess with it.
For your regular gaming experience where you might not have unlimited time to prepare, the battle-map is still king, and Magna-Build embraces that to work with your battle-map. This Double Doors set comes with two different varieties of door system to help keep the game moving fast. For areas where the players are entering a room and may get in a fight right at the doors, the freestanding doors and archway can be used. When setting up a chamber and there are other Double Doors for the players to see, you can save time by just building the room with wall pieces first, and then going back and slipping the Slot-Over doors right over the walls wherever they are supposed to be. It’s so FAST and easy, you can throw down the room while you’re describing it!
And what makes them stick together? You’re going to want to get some 5mm neodymium ball magnets, which get inserted into all the ends, and securely encapsulated by the clip-in sides/bottoms. This lets them rotate freely inside the door and archway pieces, so when another Magna-Build part is brought near, the magnets will automatically align themselves to attract and snap together!
Just the fact that they stick to each other gives them a ton of stability on any battle-map, but if you really want them to stay in place, you can throw a piece of sheet steel under the map! Optionally, of course, you could also pick up a Dark-Platypus Studio MAGNA-MAP, a high-quality rollable, laminated, 24” x 36” battle map that is made of magnetically receptive material!
