Description:
A wholly unique piece of Fatal Forest terrain. This model can be flipped over to create an entirely different play piece. You can combine several together for a bridge or elevated travel path across your tabletop. Or place two back to back to create a larger top canopy for even more figures. Durable and sturdy, thick root shapes resist bending. The detailed bark and careful prototype testing means this model prints sooooo sweet. Fun Trivia Fact: The name was inspired by the childrens’ book “The Giving Tree.”
What's so cool about it:
Reversible so it is like getting two models for the price of one! Roots side up in the air turns them into branches that can support even metal figures out to the end of the branch tips (obviously, there is some limit to how much weight you can place but it is highly resistant to tipping-over). Great detail cut into it so you get sweet-looking paint jobs with even a simple medium coat, dark ink wash, and highlight dry-brushing.
What it does on a battlefield:
Far more than a mere line-of-sight obstacle, it can be climbed on for some elevation. Used as a kind of bridge for figures to traverse during the fight. The roots can represent difficult terrain that slows movement OR come alive to entangle or grapple figures! It can work like a step to get PC’s up to higher terrain pieces. This model has SO much re-use in almost any dungeon environment.
