2009 Holiday Tribute - Mrs. Claus and Schnauzers

This year we had both Jeff Grace and Dave Summers sculpt up some fun Christmas Tribute pieces. Jeff did a younger version of Mrs. Claus along with a guest appearance by our two miniature schnauzers Abigayle (salt and pepper) and Savannah (black). And she is pulling a Dark Sword out of the bag of presents. Our black schnauzer Savannah goes crazy every time we come back from shopping with any sort of plastic bag as she thinks there is a dog toy inside of the bag for her to play with. I do not know how she came to this trained habit but experts think it might have to do with all of those times I came back from the dollar store with dog toys for her inside such plastic bags (ok, guilty as charged). This is the reason we have her lunging up onto the bag as this is exactly what she would do if Santa dropped in with a bag o' goodies. The Dollar Store is a great place to buy dog toys (and other oddball stuff) by the way. If the toy gets wrecked inside of a week, you are only out $1.00 vs. $5 - $10 for toys from other pet places.
