Standing on the edge of a sea of apparent nothingness in the galactic plane, Inixia was a tight knit string of systems well acquainted with the callous nature of the universe. Stretching back to the time before the Godforging, its walls and citadels were possessed of a strength that seeped into the soil and clung to the very bones of the world.
This strength did not deter the armies of Irin Thul however, their Emirs drunk on the power that Morohw had revealed to them, the souls of their people hollowed out and replaced with ravenous hunger.
To first break the defences the Emirs crafted great siege beasts, their flesh spun in the depths of the liminal ocean, their skin blistering upon contact with the harsh laws of true reality. Driven by pain and implanted instincts these gargantuan creatures sought to smash through Inixia's proud outer walls, their passing making room for Erin Thul's hollow armies to follow in their wake.
Ilcontent to just stand back, the Castellans sent forth the Hussars: great mechanized warriors crafted in stout facsimile of a knight and crewed by a pilot both skilled and brave. With cannon and blade the Hussars slew scores of siege beasts, their loping strides shaking the ground as they sallied forth over and over again until the Emirs turned at last to other methods far more foul to force an entry...
