‘Abonsam Po’ Red Sea Pirates
Abonsam Po are a ruthless band of African mercenaries turned maritime raiders, preying on trade routes across the Red Sea and beyond. A mix of former soldiers, warlords, and desperate opportunists, they operate without allegiance to any nation, selling their services to the highest bidder or simply taking what they want. Combining brutal close-quarters combat with cunning naval tactics, they have become a terror to both military convoys and commercial vessels alike.
Structure & Organization
The Captains' Council: A loose confederation of warlords, ex-rebels, and rogue military commanders who lead the Red Sea Pirates. Each Captain commands their own fleet and crew, but they occasionally unite for major operations or to settle disputes over plunder and territory.
Crews: Individual pirate bands operate under their own Captains, with each crew ranging from a dozen fighters to over a hundred. These crews are highly independent but adhere to a loose code of conduct—disloyalty and cowardice are punished with swift brutality.
Raiders (Individual Fighters): Known simply as Raiders, these mercenaries are hardened fighters skilled in boarding actions, amphibious assaults, and rapid coastal raids. Many are former rebels or soldiers with experience in guerrilla warfare, while others are desperate men drawn to the promise of riches.
Feared on the high seas and reviled by governments, the Red Sea Pirates are both a scourge and a shadow army for those who can afford their services. They answer to no one—except the lure of fortune and the promise of plunder.
