First envisioned as a mobile heavy-duty meteorite recovery platform for operations on Ledyanoy Shar, the Anatoli suit has become well known for its fearsome combat potential. Originally designed by Anatoli Petrov of the Perm Polytechnik Company, poor corporate security and intellectual property protection has led to the copying of the design by many rival, more successful corporations. Most successful of these was the Moskovskaya Group, who, after rechristening it the 'Druzhina Battlesuit' and outfitting it with heavy armor, secured a lucrative government contract. Now, the Druzhina Battlesuit is a fearsome sight on the battlefield, it's thick frontal armor capable of brushing off heavy fire, and strength to wield the heaviest weapons means it can often break through well-fortified enemy positions. Due to the very limited room for the pilot of the suits, below-average height men and women are often recruited specifically as Druzhina pilots.
