Successor to the BT-5, the M1935 featured an all-welded hull, a redesigned hull front, short pitch tracks, and a new engine based on a BMW design. The cylindrical turret was the same as used on late production BT-5’s and mounted a 45mm main gun. The BT-7 saw service in the Far East, Finland, and the opening stages of Operation Barbarossa.
