In the heart of the clockwork city of Emberlyn, the Steamcrown Viaduct spans the River Cogspring, its grand stone arches wreathed in ghostly vapor from the factories below. Built in the twilight years of the old empire, the bridge is said to pulse with latent arcane machinery, and engineers claim that if you stand at its crown during the tolling of the thirteenth bell, you'll see phantom airships gliding beneath its span, carrying cargoes from a future that never came to pass.
